Koley Jessen was founded in 1988 when attorneys Jim Koley, Paul Jessen and four additional partners set out to establish a firm focused on being a great place to work and providing over-the-top client service. With ambitious growth objectives in the early days, it was clear that the firm needed to specialize and expand its service offerings. Koley Jessen’s founders developed a deliberate hiring strategy, and over the following ten years the firm hired both experienced and new attorneys, one by one, ensuring that all areas of client need would be met by in-house counsel. Since that pivotal expansion, Koley Jessen has continued to grow with the firm’s culture and client service in mind, now with over 70 attorneys and 130 total employees.
