Several years ago we began an internal process designed to reinvigorate our brand. After some preliminary work, we decided it would be more effective to outsource to a firm experienced in providing this service as their primary offering. We were searching not only for brand development expertise but a partner organization capable of giving us a “third party” perspective of who we really were versus who we may have thought we were. To that end, we retained david day and associates (dda) as a partner.
Leveraging the expertise of dda, following their process and using their tools we developed a brand strategy and contemporary logo that we believe accurately embodies the Hansen-Mueller spirit and values. With dda’s help we believe we were successful on both counts. One indication of that success is that employees of Hansen-Mueller are very proud of both the strategy and the logo.

The rebrand of Alter was a significant event for the company – the first in more than three decades and a bellwether of a whole new strategic direction for the firm. A lot was riding on it. To create the new identity, we collaborated closely with David Day’s superb team of designers and project managers to work through the brand process in order to create something that would grow organically from the soul of our company. Throughout, dda was extraordinarily agile and very in-depth in their analysis of our brand. They ultimately ended up producing the new logo in the first round. We immediately knew this was what we were looking for. We then worked with them to scale this into the entire brand identity and and our fabulous new multimedia website. What’s unique about the firm is their commitment and passion. They care deeply and are invested in doing the very highest quality of work. I can’t imagine working with anybody else, and I know that the power of our brand was significantly greater by virtue of their care, attention to detail and superb communication skills.
Their probing questions in the early stages demonstrated they cared about my interests while learning about my industry from an insider’s perspective. DDay were able to extract my thoughts for the brand and turn it into a clear document that captured more than I could have hoped for. And I love the logo.
